Baliwag Veterinary Services ("BVetter", "we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us through the platform. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Full name, email address, phone number, barangay of residence, and a profile photo if you choose to add one.
Pet details (species, breed, medical history) and appointment history you or clinic staff enter for scheduling and treatment purposes.
Photos, descriptions, and location details you submit when reporting a lost or found pet, and information submitted with claims.
Proof-of-residency documents uploaded during account verification.
Basic session information (such as login timestamps) used to keep your account secure and the notification preferences you set.
Each time you log in, we record your IP address, your device/browser type, and an approximate location (city and country) derived from that IP address. This is shown to system administrators in the platform's session management tools, so they can recognize active logins on your account and end a specific session — for example, if a device is lost, shared, or shows suspicious activity. This is approximate, network-based location, not GPS or precise device tracking.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards — including access controls, secure session handling, and administrator tools to monitor and end suspicious active sessions — to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. No system is completely secure, and we encourage you to keep your login credentials confidential.
We retain account, pet, and appointment records for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with our record-keeping obligations. Lost & Found reports are retained to support the matching history of the community feature.
Inactive accounts. If you do not sign in for 365 consecutive days, your account is automatically blocked — it can no longer be used to sign in, book appointments, or post to Lost & Found. Blocking is not deletion: your records are retained, and access can be restored by contacting the Baliwag City Veterinary Office using the details in section 10. We count the 365 days from your most recent sign-in.
You may review and update your account information at any time from Account Settings. You may also request correction or deletion of your personal data, or ask questions about how it is used, by contacting us using the details below.
What deletion means. When an account is deleted, we remove the details that identify you and your pets — your name, contact details, address, and pet records. Clinical visit records are anonymised rather than destroyed: the link to you and your pet is severed, and what remains is the barangay, the date, and the condition treated, with nothing that identifies you. We keep these anonymised records because they form the animal-disease surveillance history the veterinary office relies on to plan vaccination and castration programmes, and because once anonymised they are no longer personal data. If you need the anonymised record removed as well, contact us and we will discuss what is possible.
The platform uses your browser's local/session storage to keep you signed in and to remember notification preferences (such as dismissed or read notifications). These are used only to operate the platform and are not shared with third-party advertisers.
How long you stay signed in. Your sign-in lasts across tabs on the same browser, and ends automatically after 10 minutes without activity. You are shown a two-minute warning first and can choose to stay signed in. Because sign-ins expire on our servers rather than only in your browser, closing the tab or losing your connection does not leave the session usable. You can also end a session yourself at any time by logging out, and clinic administrators can end any active session — useful if you lose a device.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
